Bowls-Their Sorrows Shall be Multiplied That Hasten After Another god. Part OneBowls There are various types of Bowls or wine cups the Bible uses. Throughout the Scriptures, the cup or the bowl is used as a metaphor or a figure of speech in which an expression is used to refer to something that it does not literally refer to in order to suggest a similarity. In the Middle East, the “bowl” or the “cup” is used as a “figure of speech” to describe an individual’s fate. Fate, meaning an event (or a course of events) that will inevitably happen in the future. Let us look at Psalms chapter 16. Michtam of David Psalms 16 1 Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust. 2 O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee; 3 But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight. 4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips. 5 The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. Topic: Their Sorrows Shall be Multiplied That Hasten After Another god. I know that we are talking about bowls and unbelievably everything that I will be talking about will relate to bowls in some way or another. However, right now, I want to place emphasis on verse 4 where it says, “Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god. This psalms is a prayer of confidence in God. The writer talks about his confidence in God’s ability to provide safety for him. The psalmist also lets us know that all good things come from the Lord. Not only is the psalmists pleased with God but he is also pleased with God’s people. The psalmist calls them the Lord’s faithful. In the King James Version Psalms 16:3b the psalmist speaks of the same excellence in which he has delighted in. In other words, the psalmist has a feeling of extreme pleasure or satisfaction in being around other saints. The saints are able to provide a source of happiness for him and to him. Relate to bowls relate to bowls relate to bowls True saints are God’s faithful people. When you are around true saints of God, you will find it can be one of the most pleasurable experiences ever. True saints are people who strive to obey God in everything. Now, true saints are not always going to be perfect, but they still, will try with a sincere heart, to do everything accordingly to the Word of God. True saints will not entertain other gods with the little “g”. What does it mean when I say other gods with the little g.? What many people do not know is that there are good and evil spirits that are controlling the world. Another name for evil spirits is called “demons” or “gods” with a little g. Good angels are just angels. The Bible shows us this, and lets us know that Satan and his fallen group of angels have been trying to control the world since Adam and Eve were created. Our job is not to serve them but to serve God. Genesis 3:1-5 King James Version 1. Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2. And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3. But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5. For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Many things that we are seeing and reading, that are taking place in the news is being orchestrated, plan and control in a complex undertaking done by spirits in an invisible world, and the fruits, sign or symptom; are being manifested in the world of touch, smell, see and hear. For example, Job 1:6 King James Version 6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. 7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. 8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? 9 Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? 10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. 11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he curse thee to thy face. 12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD. If we look at verse 11 closely, Satan challenges God to touch everything that Job has in, in the earth, which is the natural realm, order to provoke Job to curse God. Second, if you notice God reminds Satan that all that Job owns, all that Job possess, except for his soul, is in Satan’s hands, which means in Satan’s power. From that moment on, those demonic angelic beings began, in the supernatural realm, to orchestrate that which would take place and was agree upon, to be manifested in the natural realm. Prayer to God undoes it, praying with your Bible open and praying, asking God to defeat the enemy in Jesus name disrupts these spiritual beings activities. Job 1:13 -22 King James Version 13 And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house: 14 And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them: yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. 16 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. 17 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. 18 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house: 19 And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. 20 Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, 21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. 22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. Again, what is the purpose for reading to you the Scriptures, is to demonstrate to you that there is another world invisible to the senses, a supernatural world were good and evil spirits are orchestrating everything that we see taking place in the earth. Here are is another example, Job Chapter 2 again the Bible is trying to show us and illustrate to us how the supernatural realm affects the natural realm. 1 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD. 2 And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. 3 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause. 4 And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. 5 But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face. 6 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life. 7 So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown. 8 And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes. 9 Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die. 10 But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips. All the way throughout the Bible, demons are shown as preparing to take action or effect change on and in the earth. Since Satan is not omnipresent (present everywhere), he uses demons to do his will and carry through his purposes throughout the world. They constitute the "powers of the air" (Ephesians 2:2) and the "powers of darkness" (Colossians 1:13) and are all under the control of Satan. Therefore, when we do that which is not of God then what we are doing is following Satan and his invisible army of gods with the little “g”. Those that rush to other gods are bringing to themselves trouble; will not drink from the cup of salvation. Here is another example, I Kings 22:22 key verse. 1 And they continued three years without war between Syria and Israel. 2 And it came to pass in the third year, that Jehoshaphat the king of Judah came down to the king of Israel. 3 And the king of Israel said unto his servants, Know ye that Ramoth in Gilead is ours, and we be still, and take it not out of the hand of the king of Syria? 4 And he said unto Jehoshaphat, Wilt thou go with me to battle to Ramothgilead? And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, I am as thou art, my people as thy people, my horses as thy horses. 5 And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Inquire, I pray thee, at the word of the LORD to day. 6 Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall I go against Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king. 7 And Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the LORD besides, that we might inquire of him? 8 And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may inquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so. 9 Then the king of Israel called an officer, and said, Hasten hither Micaiah the son of Imlah. 10 And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah sat each on his throne, having put on their robes, in a void place in the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them. 11 And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron: and he said, Thus saith the LORD, With these shalt thou push the Syrians, until thou have consumed them. 12 And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramothgilead, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the king's hand. 13 And the messenger that was gone to call Micaiah spake unto him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets declare good unto the king with one mouth: let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them, and speak that which is good. 14 And Micaiah said, As the LORD liveth, what the LORD saith unto me, that will I speak. 15 So he came to the king. And the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go against Ramothgilead to battle, or shall we forbear? And he answered him, Go, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the hand of the king. 16 And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but that which is true in the name of the LORD? 17 And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the hills, as sheep that have not a shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master: let them return every man to his house in peace. 18 And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would prophesy no good concerning me, but evil? 19 And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left. 20 And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner. 21 And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him. 22 And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so. 23 Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee. 24 But Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah went near, and smote Micaiah on the cheek, and said, Which way went the spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto thee? 25 And Micaiah said, Behold, thou shalt see in that day, when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide thyself. 26 And the king of Israel said, Take Micaiah, and carry him back unto Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king's son; 27 And say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I come in peace. 28 And Micaiah said, If thou return at all in peace, the LORD hath not spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, O people, every one of you. 29 So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramothgilead. 30 And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and enter into the battle; but put thou on thy robes. And the king of Israel disguised himself, and went into the battle. 31 But the king of Syria commanded his thirty and two captains that had rule over his chariots, saying, Fight neither with small nor great, save only with the king of Israel. 32 And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, Surely it is the king of Israel. And they turned aside to fight against him: and Jehoshaphat cried out. 33 And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was not the king of Israel, that they turned back from pursuing him. 34 And a certain man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the joints of the harness: wherefore he said unto the driver of his chariot, Turn thine hand, and carry me out of the host; for I am wounded. 35 And the battle increased that day: and the king was stayed up in his chariot against the Syrians, and died at even: and the blood ran out of the wound into the midst of the chariot. 36 And there went a proclamation throughout the host about the going down of the sun, saying, Every man to his city, and every man to his own country. 37 So the king died, and was brought to Samaria; and they buried the king in Samaria. 38 And one washed the chariot in the pool of Samaria; and the dogs licked up his blood; and they washed his armour; according unto the word of the LORD which he spake. 39 Now the rest of the acts of Ahab, and all that he did, and the ivory house which he made, and all the cities that he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel? 40 So Ahab slept with his fathers; and Ahaziah his son reigned in his stead. 41 And Jehoshaphat the son of Asa began to reign over Judah in the fourth year of Ahab king of Israel. 42 Jehoshaphat was thirty and five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi. 43 And he walked in all the ways of Asa his father; he turned not aside from it, doing that which was right in the eyes of the LORD: nevertheless the high places were not taken away; for the people offered and burnt incense yet in the high places. 44 And Jehoshaphat made peace with the king of Israel. 45 Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, and his might that he showed, and how he warred, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? 46 And the remnant of the sodomites, which remained in the days of his father Asa, he took out of the land. 47 There was then no king in Edom: a deputy was king. 48 Jehoshaphat made ships of Tharshish to go to Ophir for gold: but they went not; for the ships were broken at Eziongeber. 49 Then said Ahaziah the son of Ahab unto Jehoshaphat, Let my servants go with thy servants in the ships. But Jehoshaphat would not. 50 And Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Jehoram his son reigned in his stead. 51 Ahaziah the son of Ahab began to reign over Israel in Samaria the seventeenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and reigned two years over Israel. 52 And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father, and in the way of his mother, and in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin: 53 For he served Baal, and worshipped him, and provoked to anger the LORD God of Israel, according to all that his father had done. Therefore, what are we seeing here in these portions of Scriptures? Seen that we have spiritual enemies that orchestrate against us in the supernatural realm and then execute their plans their schemes and their strategies in the natural realm with the whole intent and purpose to kill, steal and to destroy life on this earth and what is the cup of salvation? Jesus Christ. We also learned to do that which is contrary to God’s laws after going or running after gods with a little “g” demons, or evil spirits, therefore, when we run after these gods we are rejection the cup or bowl of salvation.
Bowls
There are various types of Bowls or wine cups the Bible uses. Throughout the Scriptures, the "cup" or the "bowl" is used as a "metaphor" or a "figure of speech" in which an expression is used to refer to something that it does not literally refer to in order to suggest a similarity. In the Middle East, the “bowl” or the “cup” is used as a “figure of speech” to describe an individual’s "fate." Fate, meaning an event (or a course of events) that will inevitably happen in the future. Let us look at Psalms chapter 16.
Michtam of David
Psalms 16
1 Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
2 O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;
3 But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.
4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.
5 The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
Subtopic: Their Sorrows Shall be Multiplied That Hasten After Another god.
I know that we are talking about bowls and unbelievably everything that I will be talking about will relate to bowls in some way or another. However, right now, I want to place emphasis on verse 4 where it says, “Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god." This psalms is a prayer of confidence in God.
True saints are God’s faithful people.
However, if we are disobeying God's Word then we are running to other gods.
Genesis 3:1-5 King James Version
1. Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
2. And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3. But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
4. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
For example, Job 1:6 King James Version
6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.
If we look at verse 11 closely, Satan challenges God to touch everything that Job has in the earth, which is in the natural realm, reason in order to provoke Job to curse God. Second, if you notice God reminds Satan that all that Job owns, all that Job possess, except for his soul, is in Satan’s hands, which means in Satan’s power. This power was given to Satan during the fall when Adam and Eve partook of the forbidden fruit. From that moment on, those demonic angelic beings began, in the supernatural realm, to orchestrate that which would take place and was agreed upon, to be manifested in the natural realm. Prayer to God undoes it, praying with your Bible open and praying, asking God to defeat the enemy in Jesus name disrupts these spiritual beings activities.
Job 1:13 -22 King James Version
13 And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house:
14 And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them:
15 And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
18 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house:
19 And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
20 Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,
21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.
22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.
Again, what is the purpose for reading to you the Scriptures, to demonstrate to you that there is another world invisible to the senses, a supernatural world were good and evil spirits are orchestrating everything that we see taking place in the earth.
All throughout the Bible, demons are shown as preparing to take action or effect change on and in the earth.
1 And they continued three years without war between Syria and Israel .
2 And it came to pass in the third year, that Jehoshaphat the king of Judah came down to the king of Israel .
3 And the king of Israel said unto his servants, Know ye that Ramoth in Gilead is ours, and we be still, and take it not out of the hand of the king of Syria ?
4 And he said unto Jehoshaphat, Wilt thou go with me to battle to Ramothgilead? And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel , I am as thou art, my people as thy people, my horses as thy horses.
5 And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel , Inquire, I pray thee, at the word of the LORD to day.
10 And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah sat each on his throne, having put on their robes, in a void place in the entrance of the gate of Samaria ; and all the prophets prophesied before them.
26 And the king of Israel said, Take Micaiah, and carry him back unto Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king's son;
27 And say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I come in peace.
31 But the king of Syria commanded his thirty and two captains that had rule over his chariots, saying, Fight neither with small nor great, save only with the king of Israel .
32 And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, Surely it is the king of Israel . And they turned aside to fight against him: and Jehoshaphat cried out.
33 And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was not the king of Israel , that they turned back from pursuing him.
37 So the king died, and was brought to Samaria ; and they buried the king in Samaria .
38 And one washed the chariot in the pool of Samaria ; and the dogs licked up his blood; and they washed his armour; according unto the word of the LORD which he spake.
39 Now the rest of the acts of Ahab, and all that he did, and the ivory house which he made, and all the cities that he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel ?
40 So Ahab slept with his fathers; and Ahaziah his son reigned in his stead.
41 And Jehoshaphat the son of Asa began to reign over Judah in the fourth year of Ahab king of Israel .
42 Jehoshaphat was thirty and five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem . And his mother's name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.
43 And he walked in all the ways of Asa his father; he turned not aside from it, doing that which was right in the eyes of the LORD: nevertheless the high places were not taken away; for the people offered and burnt incense yet in the high places.
44 And Jehoshaphat made peace with the king of Israel .
45 Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, and his might that he showed, and how he warred, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah ?
46 And the remnant of the sodomites, which remained in the days of his father Asa, he took out of the land.
47 There was then no king in Edom : a deputy was king.
51 Ahaziah the son of Ahab began to reign over Israel in Samaria the seventeenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah , and reigned two years over Israel .
52 And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father, and in the way of his mother, and in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin:
53 For he served Baal, and worshipped him, and provoked to anger the LORD God of Israel, according to all that his father had done.
Therefore, what are we seeing here in these portions of Scriptures? That we have spiritual enemies that are orchestrating against us in the supernatural realm and then are executing their plans, their schemes and their strategies in the natural realm with the whole intent and purpose to kill, steal and to destroy life on this earth. What is the cup of salvation? Jesus Christ. We also learned to do that which is contrary to God’s laws go or running after "gods" with a little “g” demons, or evil spirits, is to drink wrath and when we run after these gods we are rejecting the "cup" or "bowl" of salvation.
Psalms 16:5 King James Version
5. The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
Psalms 16:5 King James Version
5. The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.

My Personal Spiritual Journalistic NBA Review!
Pastor Tate and the Referee of the 4th game
My Personal Spiritual Journalistic NBA
Review!
Well I have watched the final games of the NBA closely, yesterday and I
was feeling happy and glad to have been given the opportunity to tell the “referees”
that were officiating, and presiding over the games, that their lack of
penalizing Oakland warriors for their “flagrant” fouling against Cleveland
Cavaliers troubled me. I was not all
smiles; I did take a stand and told these men exactly how I felt.
Pastor Tate and the Referees
I was also very
impressed, last night, with Oakland warrior’s physical ability on the
basketball court. However, I was not impressed with their moral and ethical
actions and reactions during the game. I
personally felt that Oakland warrior’s flagrant fouls, cheating and rudeness
took away the sweetness of their victory in yesterday's defeat of the Cleveland
Cavaliers.
Oakland proved, without any doubt to be an
excellent basketball team. However, the cheating and reprehensible fouling obstructed
and took attention away from their superior basketball skills. In addition,
when we look back on this, in time, historians will say, “Oakland may have won
the finales, but the flagrant manner in which Oakland violated the rules of
basketball again took away the sweetness out of their victory.”
I also felt
that Lebron's was egotistical, self-centered beliefs that he really is a king,
a competitor who holds a “preeminent” position in the basketball world help
contribute to the failure of the Cavaliers as a whole. In addition, him exposing himself to the whole
world knowing that cameras are going to be everywhere once you leave the locker
room. Lebron should let others pat him on the back and he should not pat
his own back or blow his own horn.
Finally, yet importantly one thing I found strange was there were some people that tried to contribute Oakland’s victory as a blessing coming from God through Christ Jesus. However, I did not accept their victoryas a gift from God. Especially when the actions of a certain group or individual are flagrantly violent as Oakland warrior’s behavior was on the court.
As I said when the referees of the final games
came into my hospice room, I warned them that I had been closely watching the
games. I felt that Oakland warriors had
became extremely violent on the court and that I did not appreciate our boys
being injured the way they were hurt they were just to play basketball. Oakland
players were seen on video sticking out their legs deliberately trying to trip
over our players. In one instance,
Lebron tried to go up to put the ball in the basket and an Oakland player was
grabbing his jersey from around the back of his neck and was able to stopped
Lebron from making the basket. To make
matters worse a foul was not called by any of the referees yet the video picked
it up.
Then another thing I did not like about the Oakland warriors after they won,
yes, they talked about prayer and yes they talked about God but they lost me
when they kiss the trophy. We are not supposed to bow before nothing especially
any type of graven images as believers in Christ Jesus.
However, Cleveland was no better, after
they started leading in the series, in the first 2 games, some people in the
media, in Cleveland, were going to psychics over here asking for prediction on
who was going to win the series. I knew
then that Cleveland was going to lose because God hates His people going to
psychics worse then He hates you bowing down to a statue. Therefore, I would say
that the only thing we did was watch two dens of demons play basketball, and
the den in Oakland won. However, spiritually I did not see anybody serving God,
but I did see a whole lot of people serving self.

Can It Be Done ?
It has been a while
since I have place up a teaching of Mother Wilson. Today I will place up chapter 10 “Can It Be
Done” from the book called “Hidden Under the “Shadow.”
Can it be done? Controlling
our thoughts, Casting down imaginations bringing into captivity every though,
to the obedience of Christ. What we think about is important to our
Character. The scriptures says, FOR AS A
MAN THINKETH IN HIS HEART, SO IS HE Prov.23:7. Don’t let your thoughts become
warped by not being able to control them.
Sometimes we, just as Peter, being totally distraught within ourselves lose
sight of our Faith.
Thoughts can destroy your
mind and be damaging to others, if you constantly dwell on your indignation. Peter who truly believed
with all His heart that he would not be the one deny His Lord, and it was his
own indignation, at what he had done that led him on a downward plummet,
landing him back to what he knew before as the world, he returned to Fishing,
John 21:3. He could not be a help to himself or any other. For the time has
come, the judgment must begin at the House of God, and if it first begins in
us, what shall the end be to them that obey not the Gospel of Go. “THE EYES OF
THE LORD ARE IN EVERY PLACE BEHOLDING THE EVIL AND THE GOOD” Prov. 28:13. There is nothing we do that escapes God’s
attention. A permanent record is being kept of each deed. That is why we must
learn to control our thoughts. “HE THAT
COERETH HIS SINS SHALL NOT PROSPER, BUT WHOSO CONFESSEST AND FORSAKETH THEM
SHALL HAVE MERCY Prov. 28:13.
If we only believe, it
can be done, we can walk upright before the Lord, We can do good to others, we
can forgive and forget, starting firs within ourselves. It is certain that judgment is coming for
every human being, and God is looking for someone to stand up and warn the
people. It is praying time for all of us.
BE NOT DECEIVED, GOD IS NOT MOCKED, FOR WHATSOEVER A MAN SOWETH, THAT
SHALL HE ALSO REAP, FOR HE THAT
SOWETH TO HIS FLESH, SHALL OF THE
FLESH REAP CORRUPTION, BUT HE THAT
SOWETH THE SPIRIT, SHALL OF THE SPIRIT
REAP EVERLASTING LIFE” Gal 6:7-8.
Let us not be weary in
well doing, for in due season we will reap. If we faint not. Don’t give up, it
can be done. Every one of us will stand
before God. Judgment will be based upon the things either good or bad that we
have done in this body. The wicked and
unrepentant may make a mockery of sin now, but no one will be laughing in that
day. THERE WILL BE WEEPING AND GNASHING OF TEETH” Matt. 8:12. Judgment begins
in the house of the God. This is where
we are judged by the Word of God. This
is why I say Let us go on, not looking back, if it cannot be of any help to
others. The first way in which God
judges us saints, is through preaching. As we begin to read and meditate, the
Words begin to reveal, and judge our lives right then. Whom God loves He will
chasten. In our hearts, we want to please God and it can be done, so let us not
refuse to respond to the Word of God. He loves every one of us and knows that
we do not want to fail Him in any way, whether it be in or minds, our walk or
our talk. All of us want to be strong;
we want to be able to stand on our own two feet, and cope with life, and to be
free of fear and dependency.
However, none of us
desires to be alone. As a result, we look for others who are with God to help
us in our experience and situations.
This of course is all well and good, but God always with us, for God is
the very life in which we live.
God’s spirit is in us
gives us the strength, the courage and the will, as well as faith, to refuse to
be drowned by our circumstance. We are
on our own but we are not alone, for God is always with us. Just as a child we
must have the determination to struggle on. And
just as our parents and loved ones could only pray, wishing that they
could take the step for us, they watched as we struggled within ourselves to
get it right. All they could do was
encourage us, praise us rejoice in our progress. It is within ourselves that we became
independent and took that step, and with the first step many began to follow
and our journey began.
I am trying to get you
to see and understand that sometimes we may feel like an infant struggling to
get to our feet, trying to take the needed steps that will bring us out of our
weakness and dependency, into a new rewarding and fulfilling way of life. It can be done! It is all in the mind. But
let us have the mind of Christ; Let us speak faith, love and joy. Every word has with us, the power to make
manifest whatsoever we need, Just ask Jesus to help you walk in the newness of
life. I am centered and poised in the Mind
of Christ, and nothing can disturb the calm peace of my soul. Now by this we are able to say that God is at
work in me. His wisdom guides my path, I
release all my cares, I am trusting in Him, to work in me and through me, taking over all of my affairs.
The coming of the Lord
is at hand, God is getting His people together. Let Him work in your life today. FOR TODAY IF YOU HEAR MY VOICE, HARDEN NOT
YOUR HEART” Ps. 95:7-8. Your Mind is just as a child, if it falls, just pick it
back up and put it on the right path, and hide yourself under the Shadow of the
Almighty. A-MEN.

Only God Can Give Peace.
Only God Can Give You Peace.
When we read the Old Testament,
we will learn that peace and having peace is a gift from God. Only God can give
you peace. Money cannot give you peace, fame cannot give you peace; peace has
to come from God.
Leviticus 26:6 King James Version
6. And I will give peace in the land, and he
shall lie down: and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beast out
of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.
Isaiah 45:7 King James Version
7. I form light, and create
darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.
Psalms 4:8 King James Version
8. I will both lay me down in
peace, and sleep: for thou Lord only maketh me dwell in safety
1st Chronicle 12:18 King James Version
18. Then the spirit came up on
Amasa, who was chief of the captains, and he said, thou we David; and on thy side; thou son of Jesse:
peace, peace, be unto thee, and peac will e be to thine helpers; for they God
helpeth thee. Then David received them and made them captains of the land.
The point that I am trying to get
across is that God gives peace.
1st Chronicle 22:9 King James Version
9 a. Behold, a son shall be born
to thee, who shall be a man of rest;
If you will notice, rest and
peace go together. Solomon’s name meant peaceable. Therefore, when you have
rest you have peace.
9b. And I will give him rest from
all his enemies’ roundabout: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give
peace and quiet unto Israel in his days.
1st King 2: 33 King James version
33. Their blood shall therefore
return upon the head of Joab, and upon the head of his seed for ever: but upon
David; and upon his seed, and upon his house, and upon his throne, shall there
be peace forever from the Lord.
Remember, peace is given to us by
the Lord.
Isaiah 26:12 King James Version
12. Lord thou will ordain peace
for us: for thou also has wrought all our works in us.
Remember, God ordains peace for
us. Therefore, when I say God ordains peace, what I am saying is that God
orders, prescribed, decrees, appoints and commands that you and I have peace
and this is rest for us in 2015.

Proverbs 15 A Gentle Answer Quiets Anger but Abrasive and Harsh Words Stirs up Anger.
Abigail
Proverbs 15:1-5 King James Version
1. A
Soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
2. The
tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out
foolishness.
3. The
eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
4. A
wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the
spirit.
5. A
fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is
prudent.
A Gentle Answer Quiets Anger but
Abrasive and Harsh Words Stirs up Anger.
I am going to be talking about
Abigail tomorrow on “A Morning Cup of Word” on live365.com/stations/thecrowngem 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM EST
When wise people speak knowledge,
they become attractive, the Bible lets us know that stupid people, you will find,
always spouts out nonsense that will bring forth irritating behavior that will
always cause problems. It is in Proverbs
chapter 15 that Solomon teaches us how to keep the peace, which is having
harmonious relations; free from disputes.
Solomon says it is by answering in soft words which will enable you to
plead your case better, when what you are seeking is being requested with
meekness and compassion. Fussing and
cussing never solves any thing.
“A soft answer- Gentleness will often disarm
the most furious, where positive disagreement has not taken place; one angry
words, will always beget another for the
disposition of ones spirit always begets
its own likeness in another; thus kindness produces kindness and rage produces
rage. Universal experience confirms this proverb.”
In other words, it takes two to
tango and it takes two to have an argument. We should always take a minute or
two to pray before we speak, especially when we are answering people who do not
know Jesus. Angry and furious words
bring in return angry and more furious words
Let look at more of what Proverb
15 has to say about our speech.
Proverb 15:7 King James Version.
7. The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but
the heart of the foolish doeth not so.
A mild and submissive, yielding
answer to a person who is angry or who blows up., in return turns away the
wrath; it prevents the argument from escalating. Here
is a good example of a wise person who is known for being not only very
intelligent, but was considered to be a good looking woman in appearance Abigail.
I Samuel 25:14-42 King James Version
Abigail was the wife of
Nabal. Some scholars believed this was
an arrange marriage. Abigail was known to be beautiful woman incontinence and
in formed. The Bible informs us in the opening of this chapter that the
prophet Samuel had just died and all of Israel had gathered themselves
together to celebrate his life and to mourn his death. However, the Bible also shows us that during
this time, David is force to go into the
wilderness of “Paran.” Why is he there? David is hiding from King Saul.
Now in order to really be able to
understand the story and why I am using this portion of scripture to teach you
why you should watch your speech, I will have to explain to you a little
something about Paran. The word “Paran”
means to tear, rend a garment. Paran was
located in the wilderness area south of Judea, west of Edom , and north of Sinai. I want you to know and understand that there
is a lot of history in this geographical area.
It is a place where Israel
had camped after leaving Sinai during the Exodus and had sent twelve spies to
explore the Promised Land from Kadesh which was located in Paran.
Numbers 10:11-12 King James Version
11. And it came to pass on the twentieth day of
the second month, in the second year, that the cloud was taken up from off the
tabernacle of the testimony.
12. And the children of Israel took their journeys out of
the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud rested in the wilderness of Paran.
Numbers 13:3 King James Version
3. And Moses by the commandment of the Lord sent
them from the wilderness of Paran: all those men were heads of the children of Israel .
Numbers 13:26 King James Version
26. And they went and came to Moses, and to
Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel , unto the wilderness of
Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the
congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land.
Chedorlaomer turned back his
military campaign at Padan (Genesis 14:5-7) Ishmael made his home there after
Abraham forced him and Hagar to leave (Genesis 21:21). King Hadad of Edom
eluded Joab by going through Paran to Egypt (I King 11:17-18). Mount
Paran appears to a poetic parallel to Mount Sinia
(Deuteronomy 33:2).
Now I really want you to
understand what makes Abagail so exceptional surpassing what is the common
reaction when facing a trial. I am always so amazed at people who come out
of the worst and greatest wicked environments
and worst situations; yet they have that gentle quite spirit that Galatians 5:
22-23 speaks about.
Galatians 22:22-23 King James Version
22. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23. Meekness, temperance: against such there is
no law.
Let me describe to you the place
Abigail lived at. Paran is a place where
there is no water. It was a dry land
with no or little rain, dry river beds arid.
What lived there were scorpions and serpents. You know planet earth is
the type of wilderness. You know water symbolizes the Holy Spirit and right now
people, all around the world are praying for the revival. They are praying that
the Holy Spirit will rain down on the earth and give life to the church. In the wilderness of Paran, people who live
there are faced with all types of predatory anthropoid’s animals. The inhabitants face animals that have
grasping legs and venomous stingers. This is a very dangerous place to
live. The wilderness of Paran is a scary
place that provokes fear and terror.
However, Paran is place where God’s glory will and does show up. This is the place where Abigail lived at I
want you to understand that in spite of her environment she still knew how to
talk to people.
Let look at some scriptures where
in spite of the environment or the situation God’s glory still shows up.
Habakkuk 3:1-4 King James Version
1. A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet upon Shigionoth.
2. O Lord, I have heard thy speech, and was
afraid: O Lord, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the
years make known; in wrath remember mercy.
3. God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran .
Selah. His glory covered the heavens,
and the earth was full of his praise.
4. And his brightness was as the light; he had
horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power.
Deuteronomy 5:24 King James Version
24. And ye said, Behold, the Lord our God hath
shewed us his glory and his
greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have
seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.
Where are they at? They are in
the wilderness there at the place where there is no water and it is arid, dry. Venomous animals with stingers are all around. Yet God shows up with His Glory. So the question is this or the answer is
this, if you happen to be in an environment where there are venomous animals
all around you, maybe at your work place, or neighborhood, rest assure that
God’s glory will show up; rest assure that God will lead you out of that
wilderness into your promise land. In
fact you cannot get to your promised land unto you go through the
wilderness. You will find out that in
the wilderness the Lord will shine forth so just give those scorpions and
snakes a gentle answer.
Another thing I want you to
understand about Paran is that you won’t stay there forever you are just
passing through. It is just a journey,
an act of traveling from one place to another. Paran is your doorway to your
promotion. Therefore, why get upset with them why not just gives them a gentle
answer and take the sting out of the stinger.
When Abigail live in the
wilderness of Paran, she had no idea that she would end up becoming the bride
of a King. She was already married to a
man by the name of Nabal, who was from the town of Maon . The Bible lets us know that this was a
very wealthy man. He was rich, and
prosperous he was the owner of 3000 sheep and over 1000 goats. Abigail, who was
his wife at the time, and who was not looking for a husband, was married to
this ungrateful, self center and self absorb man. However Abigail was very beautiful and the
Bible lets us know that she was intelligent too.
Proverbs 15:1-5 King James Version
1. A
Soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
2. The
tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out
foolishness.
3. The eyes of the Lord are in every place,
beholding the evil and the good.
4. A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but
perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.
5. A fool despiseth his father's instruction:
but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.
However Nabal was a man with the
venomous nature so he fit right at home in the wilderness with the rest of the
scorpions and serpents he had a lot in common with them.
Nabal one day, took his sheep to
be shared in Carmel
and David was there in the wilderness heard about it, so that it is sent ten
young men with orders to go find Nabal.
David approaches Nabal in the right manner however, Nabal response was
rude and venomous, and it was intended to strike deep ill will; deliberately
harmful and malicious.
I Samuel 25:4-6 King James Version
4. And David heard in the wilderness that Nabal
did shear his sheep.
5. And David sent out ten young men, and David
said unto the young men, Get you up to Carmel ,
and go to Nabal, and greet him in my name:
6. And thus shall ye say to him that liveth in
prosperity, Peace be both to thee, and peace be to thine house, and peace be
unto all that thou hast.
David is sending greetings to a
person that he thinks is his friend.
David speaks blessings over Nabal family. David
says I hear you are shearing your sheep; just wanted to let you know we have not
touched not one of your sheep, but have protect them. Nothing that did not belong to us was ever
taken. Were going to be in your area on
a feast day and all we are asking of you is if you can receive us kindly give
us what you can.
David men deliver the message to
Nabal in David name and Nabal said, “David?” “Who is he?” “I have never heard of him.” Now that was a
venomous strike. Then Nabal goes on to
say this. “The country is full of run away slaves nowadays.”
I Samuel 25:8-11 King James Version
8. Ask thy young men, and they will shew thee.
Wherefore let the young men find favour in thine eyes: for we come in a good
day: give, I pray thee, whatsoever cometh to thine hand unto thy servants, and
to thy son David.
9. And
when David's young men came, they spake to Nabal according to all those words
in the name of David, and ceased.
10. And Nabal answered David's servants, and
said, Who is David? and who is the son of Jesse? there be many servants now a
days that break away every man from his master.
11. Shall I then take my bread, and my water, and
my flesh that I have killed for my shearers, and give it unto men, whom I know
not whence they be?
I am not going to take my bread
and water, and the animals I have
butchered for my sheepshearers, and give
them to men who come from I don’t know where.
David is tick off, and decides to
have all his men to buckle their swords and left with 400 men, leaving 200
hundred behind. However, it happen that
one of Nabal’s servants told Abigail that David had been insulted by her
husband Nabal and how David and his men had been good to her husband, by
protecting her husband and his property for him. They knew, without a shadow of a doubt that this
situation was going to be disastrous for Nabal and Abigail if something wasn’t
done to smooth things over. Abigail
thinks and reacts quickly and gathers 200 loaves of bread, two leather bags
full of wine. Five roast sheep, two
bushels of roasts grain, 100 bunches of
raisins and 200 cakes of dried figs and had them loaded on donkeys. Abigail was smart enough, not to say anything
to her husband about it she use what we call hush mouth grace.
Abigail riding on her donkey runs into
David. No sooner Abigail sees David; she
jumps off of her donkey and throws herself to the ground at David’s feet and
starts pleading for her life and saying
she was the one who was at fault. She
takes the blame for what her husband did and tells David, look “Nabal is a good
for nothing in fact, that’s what his name means, “good for nothing.” It is the
kind words of Abigail that’s saves a lot of people, including her husband, from
the sword of David. She even tells David,
“I know the Lord’s going to make you King of Israel.”
The Bible lets us know that after
Abigail begs for David’s forgiveness, she goes back home, but does not tell
Nabal what happen and what she gave to David and his men until the morning when
Nabal has sober up. Well all ends well,
Nabal has stroke and dies and David marries Abigail. Just think what would have
happen if Abigail had used harsh words against David and her husband. However Abigail ends up becoming the wife of
the King of Israel. J.
